Description

Service Connector for Aluminum Conductors – Pack of 50

Wago 224-201

The Wago 224-201 Service Connector allows quick and secure termination of aluminum conductors. Wago “Alu-Plus” Contact Paste plays a crucial role in breaking down the oxide layer on aluminum conductors during clamping. It also prevents further oxidation and corrosion, ensuring a durable connection. This connector simplifies the process of terminating both aluminum and copper conductors within the same terminal block, offering safe and long-lasting performance.

Key Features:

  • Supports Aluminum Conductors: Works with solid aluminum conductors up to 4mm²/12 AWG when used with Alu-Plus Contact Paste.
  • “Alu-Plus” Contact Paste: Breaks the oxide layer during clamping, prevents oxidation, and protects against electrolytic corrosion.
  • Spring Clamp Design: Provides a secure, tool-free connection, allowing quick and easy termination of aluminum and copper conductors.
  • Corrosion Protection: Offers long-term protection against corrosion for stable and secure connections.
  • Easy Preparation: Clean aluminum conductors before inserting them into the terminal block, and apply Alu-Plus for better protection.

Current Ratings for Aluminum Conductors:

  • 2.5mm² (14 AWG): 16A
  • 4mm² (12 AWG): 22A

Why Use “Alu-Plus” Contact Paste?

  • Removes Oxide Film: Ensures a clean connection by breaking the oxide layer on the conductor.
  • Prevents Future Oxidation: Protects the connection from further oxidation at the contact point.
  • Stops Corrosion: Prevents electrolytic corrosion between aluminum and copper conductors.
  • Long-Lasting Protection: Keeps the connection safe from corrosion, ensuring long-term performance.

Applications:

  • Aluminum Terminations: Perfect for terminating aluminum conductors in residential and commercial wiring.
  • Mixed Metal Installations: Safely connects both aluminum and copper conductors within the same terminal block.

The Wago 224-201 Service Connector is a trusted choice for electricians working with aluminum conductors. It ensures reliable, corrosion-resistant connections, making it ideal for various electrical installations.
