High-Load Circuit Protection with Solar Compatibility – Niglon RCBO1-32/30SAX2 32A RCBO

Niglon RCBO1-32/30SAX2

The Niglon RCBO1-32/30SAX2 32A RCBO is built to protect ring mains, socket circuits, and high-use power outlets. It combines overcurrent, short circuit, and 30mA residual current protection in a compact 18mm module. Designed with a Curve B tripping profile, it’s suitable for general-purpose circuits carrying higher loads.

This model features bi-directional detection, which is vital for solar PV systems where current may flow in reverse. Many traditional RCBOs only protect circuits when current flows in one direction. However, this device continues to protect regardless of energy flow, making it perfect for PV-ready consumer units.

You also benefit from Type A RCD protection, as well as switched line and neutral, which simplifies maintenance and enhances safety across your installation.

Key Features of the Niglon RCBO1-32/30SAX2 32A RCBO

  • 32A Current Rating – Ideal for ring mains, kitchen sockets, and high-demand outlets
  • Curve B Tripping – Fast disconnection at 3–5x rated current
  • 30mA Type A RCD – Detects AC and pulsating DC earth leakage faults
  • Bi-Directional Function – Required for PV installations with reverse energy flow
  • Switched Line & Neutral – Allows safer servicing and complete isolation
  • Breaking Capacity: 6kA – Meets domestic board standards
  • Voltage: 230V AC, 50Hz
  • Cable Capacity: 25mm² (line in), 10mm² (line/neutral out)
  • Width: 18mm – Compact RCBO fits into space-constrained boards
  • Standards: BS EN 61009-1, BS7671:2018

Applications

  • Ring mains and general socket circuits
  • Kitchen power outlets or utility areas
  • PV installations needing full-directional fault protection
  • 18th Edition consumer unit upgrades
