Description
The Aico Ei413 RadioLINK Panel Interface Module interfaces between RadioLINK alarms and accessories and fire alarm/security alarm panels. It ensures two-way communication between Aico alarms and a panel system, enhancing integration and efficiency.
Key Features:
- Two-Way Communication: Connects wirelessly with all other Aico wireless interconnection products and hardwires into the panel system.
- Power Source: Powered directly from the panel system or an external source.
- Panel Activation: Decodes ‘Fire,’ ‘Carbon Monoxide,’ and fault signals from RadioLINK devices to activate the panel and vice versa.
Power Source
The Ei413 module draws power from the panel system or an external source, ensuring consistent operation and reliability.
Panel Activation
The module decodes signals from RadioLINK devices, such as ‘Fire’ or ‘Carbon Monoxide,’ and activates the panel accordingly. It also triggers the domestic alarms if it receives a signal from the panel.
Operation of the Ei413
Upon receiving a volt-free switched hardwired signal from the panel, the module transmits a RadioLINK alarm signal to activate the alarms in the system. When a fire alarm is triggered, the module recognizes the signal as a fire and switches the relevant contacts to activate the panel. If a Carbon Monoxide alarm activates, the module switches the relevant contacts to indicate a CO leak to the panel.
Technical Specifications
- Wireless Connection: No need for cabling between the Ei413 and the smoke, heat, and CO alarms in the system.
- Compliance: Conforms to EN300220-1 (RF Performance) in accordance with EN300220-2 and EN301489-1 (EMC) referencing EN301489-3.
- Power Requirements: Powered from the alarm panel, requiring 11 to 30VDC. Unit current rating: 15mA (Standby), 60mA (Alarm Max).
- Wiring Contacts: Three sets (Normally Open, Normally Closed, and Common) of built-in wiring contacts for connection to the panel (rated at 30V @1 Amp). A Normally Open volt-free set of contacts links from the panel to the module to transmit a RadioLINK signal to the alarms.
- Radio Frequency: Operates on the 868MHz band, minimizing interference and ensuring reliable communication.
- Range: The building type affects the RF range. The maximum distance between RadioLINK units in the system is about 30 meters.
- System Capacity: Supports up to 12 RadioLINK units in one system.
- House Coding: Units are in ‘Factory Code’ mode when received and must be ‘House Coded’ to prevent communication with adjacent properties. After House Coding, they will only communicate with other RadioLINK units coded at the same time.
House Coding
Operate the ‘House Code’ switch on all RadioLINK units in the system, following the instructions supplied with the other RadioLINK units.
The LED indicator on the front cover of the Aico Ei413 RadioLINK Panel Interface Module will flash blue slowly, indicating it is transmitting its unique serial number.
The unit will flash to indicate the number of units in the system (e.g., 2 flashes for 2 units). The Ei413 returns to normal standby mode automatically after 15 minutes. You can press the ‘House Code’ switch again to return it to normal standby immediately.
