Description

The Aico Ei129 Hard Wired Switched Input Module triggers alarms in your system when an external device, such as a sprinkler system, activates. This module ensures seamless integration and reliable performance in your safety system.

Key Features:

  • Mains Powered: Operates on mains power with a rechargeable lithium cell back-up.
  • Hard Wire Interconnect: Connects with the alarm system through a hard wire interconnect.
  • Compatibility: Works with 3000, Ei2110e Multi-Sensor Fire Alarm, 160e Series alarms, and 140e Series alarms.
  • Power and Battery Back-Up: Provides continuous operation during mains power failure with built-in rechargeable lithium cells.
  • Versatile Mounting: Comes with a cover or can be mounted underneath an alarm.
Power and Battery Back-Up

The Ei129 operates on mains power and includes a rechargeable lithium cell back-up. This module triggers alarms in the system when an external device, such as a sprinkler system, activates. The built-in tamper-proof lithium cells offer up to 2 months of operation without mains power and have a 10-year lifespan.

Operation of the Aico Ei129 Hard Wired Switched Input Module

When the volt-free contacts connected to the switched input module close, the system triggers all interconnected smoke, heat, and CO alarms. Once the triggering device resets, the contacts switch back, and the module automatically resets, stopping the alarm sound.

Technical Specification
  • Operation: Connects to volt-free contacts (normally open and common) rated at 230V AC (e.g., a flow switch on a sprinkler system or alarm control panel). When contacts close, it interconnects with the smoke, heat, or CO alarms, causing them to sound. Approved to BS EN60065:2002/A1:2006 and CE marked.
  • Power: Runs on 230V AC mains power with built-in tamper-proof rechargeable lithium cells that provide up to 2 months of operation without mains power. These cells have a 10-year life span.
  • Interconnection: Supports up to 20 units in total (including the Ei129) in an interconnected alarm system.
  • Mounting Options: Can be sited remotely or under a smoke/heat alarm by removing the cover plate and mounting the alarm base plate onto the unit.
  • Ease of Wiring: Fitted with a 3-way connector block for straightforward wiring.
  • Trunking Knockouts: Features 3 x 25mm trunking knockouts for surface wiring and a centre knockout for recess wiring.
  • Dimensions: 141mm diameter x 25mm depth.
  • Weight: 200g, inclusive of packaging.
  • Temperature Range: 0°C to 40°C.
  • Relative Humidity: 0% to 95%.
  • Guarantee: 5-year guarantee.
  • Manufactured: Made in Ireland.
