Power and Battery Back-Up

The Aico Ei128R Hard Wired Relay Module operates on 230V AC mains power. It includes built-in, tamper-proof lithium cells that provide battery back-up during mains failure. These rechargeable lithium cells are designed to last for 10 years, outlasting the module itself, and providing up to 2 months of operation without mains power.

Installation

You can use any combination of 3000, 2110e, 160e, 140RC, or 260RC Series alarms (up to 12 units, including the Relay). The module fits underneath any smoke or heat alarm. If needed, you can use the supplied cover for remote siting. The module also features additional trunking knock-outs for easy wiring.

Operation of the Ei128RBU

When the alarm system sends a signal, the relay contacts operate, sending a signal to the connected device. You can use the Ei128RBU to switch into a range of devices, from warden call systems to panel systems. Modify it for 230V or 24V output to operate various devices.

Output

You can set the module to provide a pulse or continuous output. In pulse mode, the relay contacts switch back to their original state after 5 seconds.
